Battlefield 2 is an awesome first-person shooter video game with great graphics and gameplay, but it was never tested to run on Windows Vista 32 and 64-bit operating systems. If you're running vista and bf2 keeps crashing here is one way I've discovered to keep it from doing so.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Computer
  • Vista
  • BF2

Step1
If you're running Vista and want to play BF2, but it crashes after 1-10 minutes they you might have to disable Vista User Account Control (UAC) feature. Here's how you can do that.
Step2
Open up the Control Panel, click on the Security Panel.
Step3
Click on Security Center at the top of the list.
Step4
Under "Other Security Settings" turn off "User Account Control"
Step5
Reboot your machine and you're done. Battlefield 2 should run flawlessly now!

Tips & Warnings

  • If you want to disable the annoying security center pop-up balloon, read my other article. I've provided a link below (under resources)
