If you desire to be successful you need to learn how to be a man or woman of influence. Most of us are lagging behind towards meeting our goals because we do not know how to influence people

Step 1

Any successful person didn't get there by themselves. If you want to be successful you need to work on being influential. Whenever someone older than you has a conversation you need to listen. We tend to ignore subject we already know about or don't really pay attention to people we have nothing in common with. Older people have allot more wisdom than we do. It doesn't matter how much income you make everyone has something to offer.
Step 2

To influence people when they give you advice or tell you something don't act like you already know what their telling you even if you do. A great way to influence people is to genuinely listen when they tell you something. Let them know how much you appreciate the advice they gave you. Young people tend to be inpatient with people and interrupt people because they know it all. You will be surprised how much you can learn by listening to people especially your elders. When you start letting people know how much you appreciate their advice you start influence other people to like you. People are walking around with information and strategies to teach other people willing to listen. Majority of people blow these people off but a person of influence learns how to attract this information from others.
Step 3

You also need to learn to be more appreciative of things people do for you. NO matter how small the task or favor show great appreciation. we are good at being fake how many times does someone do us a favor and we tell them if you need any help give me a call. Half the time we say this we don't even leave our number after saying this. We say this as a way to pretend to be grateful. A person of influence will actually do something for the person and not just talk about doing something.
Step 4

Find a way to praise the person in front of other people. Always find something good to say to about people even if its no real big deal to you. When you tell someone your going to do something do it. Be a person of integrity
