1
When handing out business cards, hand them an extra to give to a friend that may need your services. When giving brochures always ask if they would like extras to give to friends.
-
2
After completing a service well done, casually say something like: Thank you for your business, please tell your friends about us. You may also say this at the end of a email if most communication is done via computer.

3
When sending out mailing to customers attach two coupons to your business. On one print for you, on the second print for a friend.
-
4
Offer small tokens of appreciation if a client refers others. You may also ask the client if they know of any fiends or family that would like to be sent discount coupons.
-
5
Hang a sign in the front lobby, saying thanks for your business, please tell your friends. Cute or professional looking signs are best. Hand written signs may not portray the image you want.
