- Beautifully decorative Plates
- Nails and a Hammer
- Imagination and creativity

Step 1
Decide the color scheme you are looking for in that particular room. Use the colors already in the room to help you decide what kind of plates and rack you will be looking for.

Step 2
RACK Shopping: find a nice unique looking rack. Go to places like T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, Home Goods, etc. There are many discount stores where you can find fabulous racks in all different shapes, sizes and designs.

Step 3
PLATE Shopping: once you've found your rack, figure out how many plates it can hold and find plates that you love. Pick plates that have a elegant, modern design; Pick Plates that are similar, but also have differences to add flavor to the design. You can also find great decorative plates at all the discount stores as well.

Step 4
The Finished Product: Once you have picked out your rack and plate(s), go home and put your rack up and your plates on the rack. Then when you're done, stand back and admire your new wall decoration. I'm sure it wil look great.

on 10/28/2008 Plates are a great way to fill a wall! I have a set of 16 seasons plates...each set of 4 plates tells a story about the season..apple picking, spring planting, making lemonade, building a snowman..and then each set is hung on a vertical rack of 4. great article!
