How to Make a shopping bag out of a pillow case

Want to be eco-friendly. Make your own shopping bags out of pillow cases. Cheap easy and designs are limitless. 2 to 3 bags can be made out of just one pillow case.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Pillow case
• Thread to match or contrsting color to make it snazzy
• Nylon strap or other handle like materials or premade purse handles at local craft store
• Fabric paints or other decor items.

1. 
   Cut it in Half

   Cut standard pillow case in half.

2. 
   Edging

   Fold over a 1/4 inch edge along the cut edge. Fold again and iron.

3. Sew a straight stick over this edge locking it in place.

4. Cut 2 pieces of nylon strap 18 inches. If you prefer the bag to be longer handled or shorter adjust this Nylon Strap.

5. Sew straps on to bag by placing them 8 inches apart on the edge you just rolled over. Make sure that the handles are very secure on the bag, they will support the weight of items in the bag

6. 
   Personalize it.

   Decorate the bag as you feel. Fabric paints, paints, and patches work great.
