Step 1
Get plenty of sleep. The average person gets 6-8 hours of sleep. Every body is different and your body will let you know how much sleep you need. If you are waking up tired your not getting enough sleep!
Set a side a time every night that you will go to bed. Relax before jumping into bed by taking a hot bath or reading a novel. Once you are relaxed settle in for a good night's sleep. Let work stay at work and let other stress go. -
Step 2
Exercise for at least 30 minutes. Go for a casual stroll after dinner with your family. This will speed up digestion and your metabolism. On the weekends join your kids in outdoor activities. Play basketball in your driveway, go swimming in your local pool or walk the dog!
You will be amazed at how much more energy you have once you start getting up and moving. Set down the remote and pick up the walking shoes! The sunlight will help your mood and you'll find that your a happier person! -
Step 3
Eat better! More fresh fruits and veggies and less fast food. It takes less time to pack yourself a turkey sandwich and a banana than it does to wait in the drive through of McDonald's!
Start out small. Try brining your lunch to work all week and eating healthy dinners at home. You'll be amazed how light you feel!
Try eating leaner cuts of meat like turkey and chicken to lower fat and cholesterol.
Lower you caffeine intake. Most of us live off of coffee and soda. You don't need this to get through the day. Caffeine gives you an artificial boost of energy that will deteriorate quickly. Trying taking a B vitamin to help boost energy and mood. Consult your doctor prior to starting any vitamin regimen.
