How to Write an SMS Text Message on a BlackBerry

Sending an SMS text message from your BlackBerry is quick and easy.

Text messaging has become such a huge part of daily communication that it has an ergonomic danger associated with it called "Text Message Injury" or TMI; yes, watch out for that thumb and wrist pain. It takes a lot of texting from your BlackBerry to begin to suffer the effects of TMI, and an SMS text message is still a quick and easy way to remind your spouse to pick up the kids.

Instructions

1. Tap on the "Messages" icon from your BlackBerry's home screen.

2. Press your "Menu" key.

3. Select "Compose SMS Text."

4. Go to the "To" field and type in your recipient's name or select it from your contact list by tapping your "Menu" key and clicking "Choose Contact."

5. Click "OK" once your contact has been added in the "To" field.

6. Type your SMS text message in the message field using your BlackBerry's keypad.

7. Press the "Enter" key to send your SMS text message.
