Performing a soft reset stops all applications on the BlackBerry device. Resetting the BlackBerry device is a useful way to resolve issues and is usually the first step in troubleshooting the BlackBerry device.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Blackberry Phone
  • Fingers
  1. Step 1
    Buttons to press
     
    Buttons to press

    Press the ALT + RIGHT SHIFT(CAP) + DELETE keys

  2. Step 2

    Screen will go black for a second, and device will reset.

  3. Step 3

    To perform a double soft reset, press the same keys as step 1 while the screen goes black for that one second.

on 3/26/2009 Ok but How to reset to factory settings? whipe out the blackberry? like brand new?
