How to Soft Reset a BlackBerry

Reset your BlackBerry if it has locked up.

Your BlackBerry smartphone is a miniature computer that will freeze up on occasion. Resetting your BlackBerry restarts the device and all its applications.

Instructions

  Place a soft cloth on a flat surface and lay your BlackBerry screen down on the cloth.

  Remove your BlackBerry's battery cover.
- 3
  
  Remove your BlackBerry's battery.
- 4
  
  Wait a few seconds and reinsert your BlackBerry's battery, ensuring it is seated properly.
- 5
  
  Replace your BlackBerry's battery cover and turn the device back on.
