Step 1
Know what interests you and what you are looking for in single men or women. This first step is very crucial when looking for a lasting relationship. You want someone who shares common ground with you.
For example, if you love non-stop entertainment, you will enjoy action-filled moments with someone who enjoys them also. Sporting events, karaoke, and amusement parks are perfect for finding similar types.
Maybe you are someone who loves more cultured things in life such as music or readings. If this is true, concerts, musicals, libraries, and bookstores are crammed with single men or women.
Perhaps you love socializing and meeting new people. House parties, company gatherings, and public parks are perfect places to find individuals who also love interacting with others. That person may just be looking for romance, too.
The possibilities of finding a single man or woman in public places are endless. Remember, the object here is to mingle with others who have the same interests. By frequenting the places you love attending, you are raising the chances of finding that special someone. -
Step 2
Research your area for public places that match what you are looking for in a single woman or man. After you figure out what kind of activities you would like a single mate to share, it is time to list those settings on paper. This listing is where the groundwork to a beautiful relationship begins.
If you have Internet access, do a search of places as close to your residence as possible. If you do not have a computer, then pick up the telephone book. Do not forget to check your local newspaper, posted fliers, and bulletin boards for upcoming events in your area.
You should list at least ten to twenty places you can see yourself attending. Narrow your choices down to your top three public places for finding a single man or woman. The purpose of the three places is to keep you from running all over town and wasting valuable time, let alone gas. Make sure your top three places match the "fun things" you love doing. This is especially true if you are the type who has many interests. -
Step 3
Brush up on your appearance. Good hygiene is something you cannot ignore. How else would you attract the single man or woman of your dreams if you are not looking your best? Set aside time to prepare before attending the places you listed.
The purpose here is to LOOK NEAT. Make sure you have groomed hair and your outfit is not wrinkled. Wear the appropriate attire to whichever venue you attend. If you are feeling uncomfortable with the particular attire that everyone else is wearing, wear something as close to the intended look as possible.
For single men, women generally look for someone who has nice shoes, groomed facial features, clean fingernails, and smells good. Make sure you practice good hygiene also! It makes good sense to purchase moderately priced cologne than a cheap version. Now is not the time to save money here. Check the specials for clothing and accessories in discount stores that sell name brand items or shop over the Internet.
For single women, most men look for someone who has manicured hands/feet, nice hairstyle, outfits that accentuates your personality and moderate makeup. Lipsticks are fine, but REFRAIN from applying makeup excessively. -
Step 4
Bring a close friend to the public places you picked to find single women or men. This last step is great when you're frequenting some place where there's a big crowd. Many single men or women don't like attending crowded places alone. Plus, this is a perfect opportunity for all parties to find that special person. Everyone wins! Besides, if there is not anyone at the places you picked, that spark your attention, at least you will have someone to talk to.

To make it easier to meet Singles I wear the internationally recognized SHI Symbol which is just for Singles and it stands for Single, Happy and Interested (in meeting others). It works and is a great ice breaker too. Try it at your favourite places you've picked out.
