Make 7 Layer Dip

This 7 layer Mexican style cream cheese dip is a recipe that I have tweaked to make my own. It's great for parties and BBQ's, which is where I first discovered it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 block of cream cheese
  • 1 jar of salsa
  • 2 medium jalepeno peppers - chopped
  • 1 onion (yellow or red)- chopped
  • 1 carton of grape tomatoes - diced
  • 1 head of lettuce - chopped
  • 1 bag of Mexican shredded cheese
  • 1 bag of tortilla chips
  1. Step 1

Start by blending your cream cheese and about a half cup of salsa in a mixer to make it really smooth and creamy.

  2. Step 2

Spread evenly as the bottom layer of your dip onto any serving platter or large plate.

  3. Step 3

Mix peppers and onions together and use this for your next layer. If you don't like spicy hot food, use sweet peppers or guacamole here instead.

  4. Step 4

The next layer is your tomatoes.

  5. Step 5

    Then add your chopped lettuce.

  6. Step 6

Top with a nice layer of shredded cheese.

  7. Step 7

Serve and enjoy with tortilla chips. Refridgerate any leftovers.
