Although I could not find details on how this holiday started, I found it quite interesting to be in July when kids are out of school. Greeting card companies celebrate many unique and odd holidays, so why not take a little boredom out of the year with it. Who knows, maybe the greeting card companies created this holiday.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Send an e-card (free ones are abundantly available) to friends and family.
Step2
Create your own Pillsbury Doughboy dance, pick your music, and ending, and then e-mail it to someone. Kids are easily amused with this feature on the Pillsbury Web site. (see resources for Web page)
Step3
Read or share inspirational quotes on anti-boredom month (see links in resources).
Step4
Search your community links and chamber of commerce for local activities to do this month.
Step5
See resource links below for many ideas to deter boredom.

Tips & Warnings

  • you can easily get caught up in sending communications via e-mail, so try the old fashioned way and buy a stamp.
