Here is how to reset that annoying change oil light on your Yukon or Suburban.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Turn the ignition key to the RUN position but do not start the engine.

  2. Step 2

Fully push and release the accelerator pedal three times within five seconds.

  3. Step 3

If the CHANGE OIL SOON light flashes 2 times, the system is reset. If the light comes on and stays on for 5 seconds, the system did not reset. You may have to repeat the procedure a couple of times if the system does not reset.
