Long before tweezers and wax women used cotton thread to remove unwanted facial hair simply using the ancient threading technique. I am still practicing this technique myself and am determined to become a master eyebrow threader!
Start by finding 100% cotton thread and cut a 12" piece, tieing the two ends together in a knot. Now you have a large loop!
Step2
Place both hands in the circle so the thread is right below your knuckles. Create a twist in the middle of this loop by twisting one hand. You now have what looks like the number 8!
Step3
Place the hair that you want removed in the corner of one side of the twist in the middle of the loop. Using the opposite side of the 8 figure open your hands to move the string which will remove the hair from the root. You can remove one hair at a time or a whole row of hairs. Remember that practice makes perfect!

WOW! I am not that good with wax so I can only imagine what I would be like with that. Think I will stick with the pros on this one, but great tips for those who are not scared to try it! It would be neat to watch though.

The video addition which I haven't checked out yet is a good addition to your article. I don't cut my eyebrows, but I know and have seen the effects of this art, and it is indeed an art to be able to thread eyebrows. Sounds like you've supplied great tips! Wonderful close up pic too!
