You can use your camera as a paint brush!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Camera
  • Dark Room or outside at night
  • Light source
  1. Step 1

Set your camera to "Bulb" (if you have an inbuilt flash, turn it off)

  2. Step 2

Set your Aperture to around 11

  3. Step 3

    Set your ISO to 100

  4. Step 4

Point the camera to a light source

  5. Step 5

Press the trigger, (hold it down!) while you are pressing the trigger, start moving the camera across the light source. Don't take too long or you will have too much light. Up to 5 sec for a street scene, longer if you have distant lights with little ambient light.

  6. Step 6

Review on screen and adjust aperture up for more light. If it is too dark, lower the aperture or use longer exposure.
