Celebrate the French Fourth of July. France's Independence Day is July 14. Create a fun and festive French flag cake for the occasion. Let them eat cake!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 x 9 inch pan
  • Cake mix of your choice
  • Cool Whip or white frosting
  • Blueberries
  • Strawberries
  1. Step 1

    Bake the cake according to the directions.

  2. Step 2

    When the cake is cool, frost with Cool Whip or vanilla icing.

  3. Step 3

    Decorate the cake with berries in vertical stripes--1/3 blueberries, 1/3 plain, 1/3 strawberries. Voila! It's the French flag, and you're ready to celebrate Bastille Day. Bon Appetit!

on 7/8/2008 aw, I used to always make the American flag cake with my mom on 4th of July...now I can make variants multiply times a year :)
