One of the biggest signs of stress is feeling fatigued. When you have no energy and feel hopeless or depressed and moody, stress is usually a big part of this problem. Stress is notorious for causing a lack of motivation, energy and zest for living. These symptoms could point to other health factors, but many times these feelings are due to stress.

If you experience a major disturbance in your sleep patterns or insomnia, this is also a sign of stress. If you notice an increase in alcohol consumption, smoking or drugs combined with the above signs, you need to begin seeking medical advice.

Big changes in your appetite are also a result of stress. Stress causes you to lose your sense of humor and produces frequent headaches, neck pain and tensed muscles.
To avoid a total burnout, you must visit your physician and learn to take a deep breath.
