How to use Vista snipping tool to capture screen shots

You can use Snipping Tool to capture a screen shot, or snip, of any object on your screen, and then annotate, save, or share the image.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Home Premium, Business, Enterprise, Ultimate
  1. Step 1

    when you want to copy or snip an image on your computer
    go to Start>All programs>Accessories>snipping tool and click it

  2. Step 2

    You will notice the page fades out (white overlay), merely put your mouse cursor (or tablet pen) in the bottom right hand corner of the image and drag it so the red line outlines what you want to snip.

  3. Step 3

    Save the image.

Tips & Warnings
  • Snipping icon can also be displayed in quick launch toolbar by clicking "options" when snipping toolbox is displayed.
