How to properly use Vamoose Cigarette Odor Eliminator to completely and permanently remove any cigarette smell or other tobacco odors from your car or vehicle.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Vamoose Cigarette Odor Eliminator (see usage guide at www.vamooseproducts.com for quantity required).
  • Eye protection
  • Dust mask
  • Terry Cloth Towels
  • Spray bottle with water
  1. Step 1

Read all instructional material, warnings and cautions, label on bottles and any additional material before treating vehicle.

  2. Step 2

Leave the engine off until directed in step 8.

  3. Step 3

Remove trash and loose articles from car, wipe dust off dashboards and other hard surfaces, vacuum all carpets and seats.

  4. Step 4

Remove all mats and spray each of them with Vamoose, then leave them outside of vehicle and allow sufficient time to dry.

  5. Step 5

Treat Vehicle in segments leaving all windows and doors closed except for the door in the area being treated. This will allow for more control when applying the Vamoose product and will also help prevent the product from escaping the vehicle before it's had time to dry.

  6. Step 6

When treating each segment of the vehicle, work from top to bottom, treating headliner and all other exposed areas (treat seat and carpet last). Spray all exposed areas.

  7. Step 7

Treat each segment of vehicle until the entire interior of vehicle has been treated.

  8. Step 8

If vehicle has an A/C system, turn engine and A/C on. Adjust the A/C for maximum recycle mode. Spray sufficient amount of Vamoose into area of the interior in-take vent. Note: for most vehicles, these in-take vents are located under the front dash above the driver and/or passenger’s floor space. For vehicles with dual A/C, the rear intake is usually located in the back compartment of the vehicle’s interior. Consult owner’s manual for the location of these in-take vents for your model vehicle.

  9. Step 9

Once completed, allow A/C to operate in the maximum recycle mode for approximately twenty minutes...this allows for a quicker and more complete drying of the Vamoose product.

  10. Step 10

After product has dried, open all doors to allow fresh air. Replace the mats back into the vehicle.

  11. Step 11

Using only water, clean the inside of all windows and any interior mirrors.

  12. Step 12

Repeat steps above if any cigarette or tobacco odor returns after treatment. This product works by dissolving the tar residue that has accumulated as a result of cigarette or other tobacco smoke. Since this tar residue is the source of the odor being eliminated, once it is gone…the odor is too. For heavier contamination, several applications may be required.

Tips & Warnings
  • If used properly, this product will completely and permanently eliminate all cigarette and other tobacco odors.
  • First treat entire vehicle with Vamoose Fragrance Free. Once the entire vehicle has been treated, use either Vamoose New Car Scent or Fresh Scent to treat fabric seats and for leather seats use Vamoose Leather Scent.
  • Allow 24 to 36 hours before any additional cleaning of interior.
  • · There is an odor that results from the Vamoose product coming into contact with the tar residue…this is referred to as the "conversion" odor. It usually doesn't last long but can help assist in finding the more concentrated deposits of tar. When you smell the "conversion" odor, you know that the tar deposits are dissolving and the product is working. Make a mental note of any area of application in which you notice this "conversion" odor during treatment; these are the areas that will require more of the Vamoose product during treatment to sufficiently eliminate the tar residue. The Vamoose Fragrance Free is recommended during the initial treatment since it allows the user to detect these “conversion” odors without the distraction of a fragrance. Once the vehicle has been completely treated, the use of Vamoose scented products only enhances a pleasant outcome.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Wear eye protection and dust mask when using Vamoose in close proximity to the face.
  • Do not spray Vamoose towards face or in the direction of other people.
  • Do not spray Vamoose directly on windows. If Vamoose gets on glass, wipe off immediately with clean towel or spray more Vamoose on area and immediately wipe off. Do not use alcohol-based products to clean Vamoose off glass.
