This is the easiest way to clean up the white acid residue from car battery terminals.

Things You'll Need:

  • Can of coca cola
  1. Step 1

    Buy a can of coca cola. It doesn't have to be cold.

  2. Step 2

    Open your car's hood and locate the battery terminal.

  3. Step 3

    Pour some coca cola on the white acid residue. The coca cola will clean off the white residue without any brushing.

Tips & Warnings
  • It is a good idea to thoroughly clean off the white residue with a wire brush. This is a quick easy fix to temporarily clean the battery connections.
  • Avoid touching the white powder with your hands. If you get any of the white residue on you, wash off immediately with cold water and soap.
