Wine stains are one of the most difficult stains to remove. If you use simple table salt you can stop scrubbing and steam cleaning.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Table salt
  • A vacuum cleaner
  1. Step 1

Use a clean dry cloth to soak up as much of the wine as possible. Do not scrub at the spot though, just dab at it.

  2. Step 2

Cover the spot with table salt. The amount you need will vary with the stain. I use about a quarter of a cup on a six inch spot. The wine will be soaked up by the salt.

  3. Step 3

Vacuum the spot when the salt and wine have dried completely.
