We all love summer vacation! The weather, the beach, the fun family trips; but when winter comes and it's cold and dark outside and those days of sun and surf are a distant memory. Why not make that summer vacation last all year?

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Disposable cameras
  • Calendar
  • Small to medium sized box
  • Storage Space (to hold box)

Step1
Go on vacation this summer and have a blast! Take your family anywhere that you enjoy.
Step2
Take lots and lots of pictures. Take pics with your digital cameras, camcorders, etc., but MAKE SURE you take some with your disposable cameras.
Step3
Bring back momentos from your vacation. For example: seashells, ticket stubs, postcards, etc.
Step4
Put all or some of those momentos and your disposable cameras in your box and put away somewhere in the back of a closet, storage space or under your bed.
Step5
Mark your calendar for sometime in November, and make sure you write a note as to where you left this box. IE: November 13, take out summer box from under bed.
Step6
Take your disposable cameras anywhere that develops film.
Step7
Once you have your pictures back, have a family night and go through and remember all the fun things you did on your summer vacation. Dig out the momentos and everyone take a turn and tell the story of each one.
Step8
An optional idea...use these photos for Christmas presents, Christmas cards or make a scrapbook.
Step9
Enjoy!!

Tips & Warnings

  • A fun idea is to get several disposable cameras of different sizes and photo options. A great idea is to get a black and white camera and take a tour on Alcatraz (San Francisco Bay Area).
  • Be careful when traveling with your cameras. Take caution when packing them and for exposure when going through security on an airplane.
