In making a Victorian wreath you will learn what design, color scheme, and articles to gather for the wreath.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • You will need a grapevine wreath, ribbon, hot glue gun,
  • Miniature Victorian items such as teapot, cups, old buttons, silk rosebuds, and other victorian items of interest.
  1. Step 1

Purchase a heart shape grapevine wreath either new or used. Yard sales are a good place to look for wreaths and they are cheap! Use a heavy piece of floral wire bending it in a hook, glue it into the "V" of the wreath for a hanger.

  2. Step 2

Take 1 1/2"-2" ribbon and wind around the wreath. At the beginning, hot glue the ribbon to wreath and wrap until it meets at the beginning and hot glue again. Use your choice of Victorian blue, pink or mauve 1 1/2"-2" ribbon and wrap around the wreath leaving about 2" space between wraps. Also, use the hot glue to fasten the beginning and ending of ribbon.

  3. Step 3

Lay out your items on the wreath to your desire. Hot glue each item in place and you are finished!

Tips & Warnings
  • Shop for the Victorian articles at craft stores when a sale is on. Look for items in Variety stores, thrift stores and yard sales.
  • Be very careful when using the glue gun, it is easy to get hot glue on your fingers.
