Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Step1
Come to grips with your shake. Everyone has heard the term "Shake what your Mama gave you" This is the truth. No one feel or looks good while they walk around like they are apologizing for something. Hold your head up, throw your shoulders back, and swing your hips when you walk. You will feel sexier while looking more confident and feminine.
Step2
Not everything is an insult. A few days ago I was walking through a parking lot to a store when I passed a couple of guys. As I went by them I heard one of them say "More bounce to the ounce." Just as my self esteem was about to take a dive and I was feeling like a walking blimp I realized that I had not just heard a fat joke. I had been walking rather briskly and my chest was bouncing all over the place.
Step3
Stop insulting yourself. This is a dangerous activity that slowly chips away at your self esteem. Don't even do this to fish for compliments. Insulting yourself in hope that your family, friends or significant other will say something nice will eventually irritate everyone around you and when you don't get that reassuring response it will reaffirm all of those negative ideas.
Step4
Love your skin. Taking care of my skin is incredibly soothing to me. I moisturize it, I dry brush it, I massage it. When your skin is healthy and pretty you will glow. I have my share of scars and I used to think they were ugly. One day it occurred to me that they all had pretty interesting stories. No one thinks twice if a guy has a scar and he brags about how he got it. I decided next time I heard something like that I would show off the scar I have on my side and tell them all about trying to hold down a 300 pound ox so it could be medicated.
Step5
Buy a perfect pair of jeans. I don't support using material things to make people feel good about themselves, but the day I tried on a pair of jeans that were made for my body type was the day I realized that I had been making myself wear styles that were originally made to flatter a Kate Moss figure. There is a terrible one size fits all mentality about clothing styles. Your body is beautiful, wear clothes that keep it beautiful.
Step6
Stop weighing yourself. People seem to think that weight is the guide to ideal health and beauty. I used to be a scale addict trying to maintain my weight and it drove me crazy. I ditched my scale and I haven't weighed myself in four years. The only time I get weighed is when I go to the doctor. I still wear the same size so it clearly hasn't caused me to lose track and balloon out. If you feel you need to lose weight try to only weigh yourself once a week. Focus on your measurements instead. Choose to be healthy and fit, do not choose to be 105 pounds.
