    Diamond Drill Bit.

Begin the drilling process with a diamond drill bit. Make sure to keep the drill damp, soaking is not necessary.

  2. Step 2

Begin drilling in a bucket of water. This will ensure that the drill will remain wet.

  3. Step 3

Drill slowly in a up and down movement. This will enable water to reach under the drill. Do not maneuver the bit down hard on your gem, this will break it.

  4. Step 4

Drill no more than an inch, depending on the depth of the gem.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always keep the diamond drill bit wet.
  • Keep drills out of reach from children.
  • Drill slowly and carefully to ensure you do not ruin the gemstone.
