Traveling to other countries can often require the use of a different type of currency, one that you may not be very familiar with at all. This guide will give you some tips to exchanging your currency for foreign money.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Try your banks first. Most banks will offer the basics of foreign currency like Euros and Pounds, but if you are traveling to a country that uses a less common currency, banks may not be for you.

  2. Step 2

Airports offer probably the best medium for exchanging money. Although the exchange rates may vary considerably, they are typically very fair. I'm sure you'll find yourself at an airport if you are traveling abroad anyway.

  3. Step 3

In cities, it is not uncommon to see businesses that will exchange currencies on the street. Look around to find the best exchange rate and go for it.
