Why not crochet a Christmas tree for your dollhouse this holiday season? It's easy with my free pattern!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/2 oz green worsted weight yarn
  • Small amount brown worsted weight yarn
  • Size H crochet hook
  • Fiberfill stuffing
  • Beads or desired trims
  1. Step 1

    Size: 4" tall

    Gauge: 2 rounds of dc=1"

Note: Weave in ends as work progresses.

Rnd 1: With brown, make ring (or ch 4, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring. I prefer the "magic ring" method), ch 3, 11 dc in ring, join w sl st in top of ch 3 (12 dc).

  2. Step 2

Rnd 2: (Work this round in back loops only!). Ch 3, dc in same dc, 2 dc in next dc and in each dc around, join as before, fasten off (24 dc).

  3. Step 3

Rnd 3: (Work this round in unused front loops between rounds 1 and 2). Join green w sl st in any loop, ch 3, dc in same dc, 2 dc in next dc and in each dc around (24 dc).

  4. Step 4

Rnds 4 and 5: Ch 3, dc in next dc and in each dc around, join as before (24 dc).

  5. Step 5

  6. Step 6

Rnd 7: Ch 3, dc dec over next 2 dc, *dc in next dc, dc dec over next 2 dc, rep from *around, join as before (12 dc). Begin stuffing tree.

  7. Step 7

Rnd 8: Ch 3, dc dec over next 2 dc, *dc in next dc, dc dec over next 2 dc, rep from *around, join as before, fasten off, leaving a 12" length of yarn for sewing (8 dc). Finish stuffing tree.

  8. Step 8

Weave length of yarn through tops of Rnd 8 sts, pull to close, knot.

  9. Step 9

Glue beads or desired trims to tree.

  10. Step 10

    Let dry.

  11. Step 11

    Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • There is a great tutorial on the "magic ring" method in the tutorial section on Crochet Pattern Central.
  • Have fun with your tree! Use sequins, pom-poms, etc. for decorations. Place tiny gift boxes under your tree.
