Wearing lingerie is a great way to spice things up. If the thought makes you cringe, then you're not alone. Many women find it difficult, but no matter what your body type, there's a style of lingerie that will bring out your best. With a little confidence and the right choices, you can feel sexy in lingerie.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Wear lingerie for yourself. It's great to want to please your partner, but don't make this the primary reason you wear lingerie. Do it as an expression of your femininity. Make it an act of self-acceptance and confidence.

  2. Step 2

Give up your image of perfection. Being self-critical is a surefire way to undermine your confidence. Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. Embrace your uniqueness to feel sexy in lingerie and in general.

  3. Step 3

Do what makes you feel sexy. Maybe being a good friend or making others laugh makes you feel sexy. Sexiness doesn't have to be overt.

  4. Step 4

Dress your best daily. It's hard to turn feeling sexy on and off like a faucet. If you spend most of your days dressed in frumpy clothes, then lingerie probably won't do the trick. You don't have to look like a superstar, but take pride in your appearance.

  5. Step 5

Groom. Get a new haircut. Have a manicure and or pedicure. Wear your favorite scent. The little things you do to take care of yourself can make you feel good.

  6. Step 6

Choose a figure-flattering style. To feel sexy in lingerie, work with the body you have instead of against it. Go for items with a good fit that balance your features and camouflage any problem areas. Pick colors that complement your skin tone and make you feel smoking hot.
