Whether you're in a steady relationship or just have a casual interest in experiencing sex with two people at the same time, it can be awkward to bring up your desires. There's the risk of rejection, as well as the possibility of having a very different relationship with the other partners after the threesome is over. Here are a few things you can do to ease your way into a threesome.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Bring it up around your desired partners. If you're in a relationship, test the waters by casually mentioning it to see how your significant other reacts. If the other person doesn't respond favorably, reconsider your decision.

  2. Step 2

Drink a little alcohol. Alcohol lowers your inhibitions so the conversation might be more conducive to a threesome actually happening. Don't get drunk, though, since alcohol can have a negative effect on the libido as well.

  3. Step 3

Play some music and lighten the mood. Joke around, talk and do whatever you need to do to make yourself comfortable, as well as the other two people.

  4. Step 4

Go for it. There's really no other way to do it. Start by caressing or kissing one person. If the other person doesn't look away or get uncomfortable and leave the room, bring him or her into the action. Proceed accordingly.

Tips & Warnings
  • Communication is important. If someone is uncomfortable with something, change activities. Threesomes can be fun, but only if everyone is involved and on the same page.
  • Always use protection when having sex with a person you're not in a monogamous relationship with. Get yourself tested regularly and make sure the people you sleep with get tested as well.
  • Don't leave anyone out. This can lead to hurt feelings and boredom.
  • Sometimes it's best not to bring it up after the fact. This might lead to damaged relationships or friendships and may induce jealousy in one or both partners.
