Step 1
Log on to the official USPS Web site at USPS.com.

Click on "Find a ZIP Code" at the top of the page's navigation menu.

Select "Search by Address" if you have all parts of the address on hand except the ZIP code. Type in an address, city and state and press "Submit" to find the corresponding ZIP code. This option is the one most commonly used.

Choose the "Search by City" tab if you'd like a list of the city's registered ZIP codes. Note the ZIP code classifications. "Unique," "Military" and "PO Box" classifications will be indicated next to specific ZIP codes. The classifications may help you determine which ZIP codes are usable for your purposes.

Step 5
Press the "Search by Company" tab and enter the company's details to confirm its ZIP code. Make sure you have the correct spelling of the company's name, its address, city and state to ensure correct results.

Step 6
Try using the "Find All Cities in a ZIP Code" option if you'd like a comprehensive list of cities corresponding to a particular ZIP code. This feature is particularly useful if you're curious about a cluster of small towns or cities located in the same region.
