Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Step1
Start by listing your freelancing bartender services on free websites like craigslist . You can write down that you are mobile and that you can come to their home and work an event if they have one. State your qualifications and certificates if you have them.
Step2
Talk to your family and friends. Your friends might know of some gigs around town and who might be looking for a bartender for a night or a few events. Other people want to hire you for their private parties, and they might only need you for one night.
Step3
Make flyers and post them around town. You can post them in free posting areas and on bulletin boards as long as you do not break any laws. These ads will help you get jobs from local people. Advertise in alternative entertainment weekly newspapers and magazines that cater to young people.
Step4
Go to hotels and other catering companies and ask them if they need a traveling bartender for certain events. Many catering companies hire traveling bartenders for their events as they cannot hire full time.
Step5
Go to bartending schools. They usually have bartending jobs posted on walls for the bartenders who graduate from the courses. Take note of some of these gigs and offer your services.
