How to Make Peanut Butter Eyeballs for Halloween

Have some fun on Halloween and make some ghoulishly delicious peanut butter eyeballs. They aren't scary, but they're fun and easy to make, and are sure to be the center of attention. Make plenty of peanut butter eyeballs, because they won't last long. Does this Spark an idea?

Things You'll Need

  • 1 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp. softened butter
  • Large mixing bowl
  • 2 cups confectioners sugar, sifted
  • Waxed paper
  • 8 oz. white chocolate chips
  • 40 M&Ms
  • Red gel icing
  • Black gel icing

      Place the peanut butter and softened butter in a large mixing bowl and stir them until they're thoroughly blended.

      Stir in the confectioner's sugar gradually, mixing well.

      Form the mixture into walnut-size balls, and put them on a sheet of waxed paper.

      Put the white chocolate chips in a small saucepan and melt them over low heat

      Dip the peanut butter balls into the melted white chocolate, allowing the excess chocolate to drip back into the pan. Put them back on the waxed paper.

      Put an M&M immediately into the center of each coated peanut butter ball, and put a small black "iris" in the middle of each M&M with the black gel.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can make peanut butter eyeballs up to 24 hours in advance. Just put them in the refrigerator and cover them with aluminum foil. However, wait until the last minute to add the gel icing.
