How to Use IndyBudget Budget Software

IndyBudget is an Internet-based budgeting software that allows members to choose between two budget options. The software offers a basic budget, which is a free and includes a budget plan wizard, goals, email reminders and secure, private information. The paid budget plan offers all the free plan offers plus asset management, budget statements and a net worth overlook.

Instructions

Step1
Sign up at the IndyBudget website. To create a new account, enter your email address and create a password for the account.
Step2
Enter your accounts in the boxes on the page that opens. Choose between Banking, Property and Debt. Name each type of account in the boxes provided. Click on "Save and Continue" after you enter all of your accounts.
Step3
Type in the balance for the accounts and enter any interest rates that apply. Click on "Save and Continue" to advance to the next page.
Step4
Enter the amount of your payments and due dates in the boxes provided. Select "Save and Continue."
Step5
Include information about your expenses, such as the name, amount, what account the payment comes from and the frequency of payment. Save after entering each expense. Click on "Continue to Next Step"
Step6
Enter your income information. This information includes the name of your income source, the amount, date, frequency and where the funds are deposited.
Step7
Click "Done" and "View Budget Plan Overview." This breaks down the budget and let you know if you need to decrease monthly spending.
Step8
Select "Other" and choose "My Profile." Check the box beside "Email Notifications." This sends you a reminder email seven days before you need to pay a bill.
