A ten key test determines how many characters you type in a specific amount of time and it also evaluates your accuracy. For best results, locate a test that takes your highest three scores and gives you a score based on your average.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Check out Testmytyping.com and Learn2type.com to find free 10-key typing tests.
Step2
Attend a testing session at a local temporary agency. Many have tests they can send to you through email so you can take them at home. You'll see your results after each test.
Step3
Purchase 10-key software that teaches you how to 10-key properly and includes timed tests. By purchasing the software, you have it when you need it so you can keep your 10-key skills sharp.
Step4
Go to your local community college and request a 10-key test. Many will allow you to take the test and see your results without paying for a full class, similar to auditing a course. You can see your test results, but they aren't validated or recorded by the course instructor.
Step5
Check with your supervisor at work to see if your company has 10-key tests. Some businesses have tests set up as a part of the hiring process, while others offer ongoing training for employees.
