An anniversary is a wonderful time to commemorate the love and experiences you've shared over the past year. In addition to a thoughtful gift for your significant other, make a meaningful handcrafted card to express your feelings. Use these ideas to trim the design process to less than ten minutes.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Blank card
  • Cardstock or patterned paper
  • Photo or memorabilia
  • Adhesives
  • Dimensional stickers
  • Pens
  • Envelope
  • Rubber stamp
  • Watermark ink
  1. Step 1

Save time by starting with a blank, pre-cut card rather than constructing your own out of cardstock. Choose a neutral color like cream or white or consider using one of the colors from your wedding to evoke fond memories from the day.

  2. Step 2

Layer a piece of elegant patterned paper on the front of the card or use it to create a pretty border strip along the bottom or side. Try embossed or metallic paper for an elegant finish.

  3. Step 3

Add a photo of the two of you to the front of your card. Choose an image from your wedding, a memorable everyday moment or your last vacation together. You can also use a piece of memorabilia like a ticket stub from the first movie you saw together, a snippet from a travel brochure or business cards from your favorite restaurants.

  4. Step 4

Embellish the inside of the card with a pretty anniversary-themed sticker. Also write a heartfelt message or add an inside joke, favorite movie quote or meaningful song lyric.

  5. Step 5

Adorn the envelope with a pattern that you've created with a heart stamp. Use watermark ink on a dark-colored envelope for a subtle tone-on-tone design. Also decorate the inside flap with the same patterned paper that you used on the front of the card.
