Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Study Krav Maga's history. Krav Maga's founder Imi traveled to Israel in the 1940s and served in the Haganah, a Jewish paramilitary organization. He provided basic instruction to soldiers and Krav Maga became the official self-defense style of the Israel Defense Forces.

  2. Step 2

Learn it. Visit the Krav Maga website and find local classes. Since it does not have a competitive form, it is not a martial art. Krav Maga is a self-defense system. Students learn its techniques to defend themselves on the battlefield and on the streets.

  3. Step 3

Explore the style's philosophy. To be successful, Krav Maga's philosophy must echo within your heart. Ask your instructors for additional tips and training to prepare you for teaching.

  4. Step 4

Take the Krav Maga's Instructor training classes. Certified instructors can use the Krav Maga official seal, name and logo for their businesses. Instructors can also Krav Maga merchandise.

  5. Step 5

Use Krav Maga's Worldwide merchandising packages. The organization assists instructors with TV and print ads. As a Krav Maga instructor, you can teach both civilians and your local police department.
