Pogo.com offers over 100 free games to individuals, including word, strategy and board games. While you can join Club Pogo for a monthly or yearly fee, you can also play many of the games as a guest or by creating a free account. Free games have advertisements in between games from time to time.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Find free games on the Pogo.com site. On the left hand side of the screen under "Find a Game," you can click on the "Free Games" link. Although you can choose any of the other choices to find games as well, those links include both free and Club Pogo games which can be confusing.

  2. Step 2

Choose a free game that you wish to play. The list of games is in alphabetical order, but you can find the type of game by looking at the far right column. The list also tells you whether you can earn tokens in the game or not. Tokens can be used to enter the free contests.

  3. Step 3

Read the description of the game that you're interested in playing if you are not familiar with the game. Although some of the titles will be familiar titles of games, others will not be. For example, you may already be familiar with games like Dominoes, Cribbage or Solitaire, but you may not know what a game like Poppit!, Sweet Tooth or Bump is.

  4. Step 4

Decide whether you want to create a free account or play as a guest. Free accounts allow you to collect tokens in the games. You'll also have a personalized username and be able to participate in chats on the site as well with a free account.

  5. Step 5

Play the game in the new game window that will open in your browser. Free game windows feature an advertisement before you get to the actual game. If your game does not open, check your pop up blocker. You can also find instructions for play in the game window.
