How to Easily Bypass Internet Filters

Many schools and jobs set up Internet filters to stop students and employees from viewing websites like MySpace or Facebook during school or work hours. Learning how to bypass these filters is easy to do. Just follow a few steps to easily bypass any Internet filters and be free to surf whatever websites you choose to visit.

      Select Opera Mini which is a mobile web browser, so that you can easily surf the web without having to deal with any filters blocking you. Download Opera Mini to your web accessible phone and surf wherever you like without having to deal with any filters set up by your school or job. You can also download Opera for your computer, so that you can sync up your bookmarks on both devices. There are detailed instructions on the Opera Mini website to help you download the version of Opera Mini designed to use with your specific phone.

      Access any secured or SSL (Secure Socket Layers) websites you wish by typing in "https" and the web address instead of "http."

      Utilize a website translator. Google's Translator or AltaVista's Babelfish can help you bypass Internet filters. Translate the webpage you want to see into your selected language so that you can read it without any problem.

      Use Google Cache to view any webpages you wish. Use Google as your search engine to get to whatever website you wish and instead of clicking on the highlighted link, click where it says, "Cache" to view a copied version of the webpage you wish you see. You may not necessarily get the most updated version of the webpage but at least you can see it without any filters blocking your access.

      Select web-based proxy filters to bypass Internet filters. There are many of these proxy filters to choose from. After downloading your proxy, type the name of the webpage you want to visit to access it.

      Set a proxy in Internet Explorer by copying the address of a public proxy into notepad, and then opening Internet Explorer, clicking "Tools," "Internet Options," "Connections" tab, and "LAN Settings." At "Proxy Server" click to select "Proxy Server" in the check-box and in the "Address" box type in the address you've copied. In the "Port" box type in port number of the proxy address you've copied and then click "OK" to finish.

      Set up a proxy in Mozilla Firefox selecting a proxy that you want to use, going to "Tools" from your Mozilla Firefox toolbar, and then "Options" and "General" tab. Select "Connections" and then check the "Manual Proxy Configuration." Write the address of the web based proxy and its port. Choose "Use this proxy server for all protocols" check-box, if you want to use this proxy server for all of your Internet protocols.

    Ignorant... most modern companies and schools use Internet filters by way of a filter server onsite, or proxy server offsite. The only way to trick a modern filter is to go to a proxy site that has no filter, and the websites for most of those are 99.9% blacklisted by most filters in use today. Mobile phones with WIFI capability are not an exception to most modern filters in use that use a filter server. We have ours set up so that all internet activity across our network is funneled through our filter first. Since we have virtually every proxy site on the web blacklisted it wouldnt matter what proxy address you added to your device. You would still be blocked. Even worse, since the device is not listed in active directory on our system it would be identified as an unknown user and you would be rendered to web access at the lowest level on the network.
