    Join a vaulting listserv. This is a great way to talk about vaulting with other riders from around the globe. Here you can ask for advice or just talk about your new passion in life, vaulting on horseback.

  3. Step 3

    Get barrels and mats. Two of the key elements in vaulting are the barrels and mats. Go to an equestrienne supply store and purchase these items to help get you started in the exciting world of horseback vaulting.

  4. Step 4

    Purchase the proper clothing to begin vaulting. Get tight leggings and vaulting shoes. There are many websites on the Internet that sell this clothing and other horseback vaulting equipment.

  5. Step 5

    Find a partner in your area to ride with. Unless you live down the street from a club, it is always a fun idea to carpool with someone. This way, you can share your love of vaulting along with the transportation to the riding club.
