- Sports Memorabilia
- Pens
-
Step 1
Get a pen and a piece of paper.
-
Step 2
Approach the celebrity at an appropriate time (not while he's eating, feeding his kids or smooching his wife).
-
Step 3
Be as quiet as you can. If you talk loudly and attract a lot of attention from other people in the vicinity, the celebrity is more likely to say no.
-
Step 4
Keep it short and simple. For example: "Hi Celebrity. I'm a big fan of yours. Would you mind signing this to Edward? Thanks. Have a good evening."

on 11/22/2005 No matter how big of a fan you are, keep in mind that you don't know them! Don't yell and draw a lot of attention, or you will surely be snubbed. The celebrity wants to enjoy their day just like you do - they are only human. Don't bother them during meals and such. That is the equivalent of you receiving a telemarketing call at dinner time. When there is an opportunity which will not interrupt something, quietly approach and say, "Mr/Mrs. ____, could you please sign an autograph?" Using the title Mr/Mrs and saying "please" and "thank you" will go a long way.

on 11/22/2005 If your celeb has time, talk to them like they're your best friend. It works!!
