How to Make a Cardinal Punchless

Although there's no alcoholic punch in a cardinal punchless, it looks sophisticated and tastes great. This recipe serves one.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 oz. cranberry juice
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 oz. orange juice
  • 1/2 tsp. lime juice
  • cracked ice
  • ginger ale or 7-Up
  • grenadine
  • 1 c. water
  • maraschino cherries
  • Groceries
  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Tumblers
  1. Step 1

    Coat the inside of a chilled tumbler with grenadine.

  2. Step 2

    Put cranberry juice, orange juice, lemon juice and lime juice in a cocktail shaker with cracked ice.

  3. Step 3

    Add 1/2 oz. simple syrup (see Tips, below, for simple syrup recipe) and shake three times.

  4. Step 4

    Strain the drink into the chilled tumbler and top it off with ginger ale or 7-Up.

  5. Step 5

    Garnish with a maraschino cherry.

Tips & Warnings
  • To make simple syrup, heat 2 c. sugar in 1 c. water, stirring until the sugar is dissolved and the water is boiling.
