How to Make Tortillas

Things You’ll Need:

• Small Pan

1. Go to your local supermarket and get everything you need.
2. Make sure you have a pan that is large enough to accommodate the size of tortillas you want.
3. Mix all of the dry ingredients and then add the water.
4. Knead the ingredients until they form a large ball of dough.
5. Separate a small chunk of the dough.
6. Roll out the dough using a rolling pin until it becomes a smooth and thin patty anywhere from 6"-10" wide in diameter.
7. Lightly grease the pan and pre-heat over medium heat.
8. Place the patty in the pan and cook until golden brown on one side.
9. Flip the tortilla and cook the other side until golden brown.
10. Enjoy!

Tips & Warnings

• Use hot water for better tortillas.
• Too much shortening will make the tortillas flaky.
