Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Things You’ll Need:
- Lingerie
- Women's Dress Shoes
- Women's Pajamas
- Women's Slippers
Step1
Begin by choosing a bra that offers enough support and is the right style for your dress - preferably from a brand name with which you are already comfortable.
Step2
Slip on a strapless bra if your dress has a low or wide-cut neckline, or slender straps. The most versatile strapless is one with removable straps that you can make into a crisscross or halter bra. Buy underwire if you are full-busted or full-figured.
Step3
Select a backless bra that hooks at the waist if your dress has a low-cut back. Let them see skin, not bra straps.
Step4
Slim down with a Lycra or spandex slimmer. This modern-day corset will keep you looking trim; just make sure it's comfortable for an extended period of time, and take it along to your fittings - it can change the fit of your dress.
Step5
Wear underwear that is comfortable, stays in place and doesn't show through the dress in any light. A pantyhose-underwear combination is a good choice for a slim-fitting skirt.
Step6
Choose a sexy garter belt, if you dare - make sure that it shows no lines and won't snap during a dance.
Step7
Purchase a slip if you are wearing a long sheath dress.
Step8
Pick hosiery of any style, as long as its color flows harmoniously with your dress.
Step9
Try on a variety of styles under your dress once you've chosen the proper type, and move, move, move. The bra should be comfortable and stay in place at all times.

on 11/22/2005 Don't wear white underwear. Choose a shade that matches your skin tone instead. It won't show through, even sheer fabrics. And not just on your wedding day -- Always!

on 2/15/2006 I choose a quality bustier to wear with my strapless dress. These really lift you up and looks they great with strapless styles. My dress has a huge cathedral length train, and tends to pull down. I bought double sided tape (Hollywood fashion tape is a good one) there is also toupee tape or res-q tape. Just stick this in small strips all around the top of your gown and a little inside the top of the bra or bustier and it holds up beautifully!
Also, corset-type bustiers help suck in and flatten any bulges, creating a smooth line.

on 11/22/2005 Use adhesive velcro to secure a strapless bra to a strapless dress. You won't have to worry about adjusting your dress all day!

on 2/3/2008 Keep in mind that if you are buying lingerie cause you want to please the man. It almost does not matter how or what the lingerie looks like. I had bought some sexy lingerie over at http://sexy-lingerie-onyou.com that looked really nice on me but my boyfriend just wanted to get me out of it.
Hmm, is this good or bad?
