Step 1
Tap gently all around the narrow end of an egg using the blade of a sharp knife.

Remove the top portion of the shell by grasping it firmly between your fingers.

Step 3
Lift and twist the top as you pull the shell away from the main body of the egg.

Step 4
Empty the contents of the egg into a bowl or frying pan.

Step 5
Wash the empty shell, then dry it in the sun for a day or two.
