Things You'll Need:
- Mother's Day Greeting Cards
- Aromatherapy Gift Set
- Flowers
- Diamond Earrings
- Pearl Necklaces
- Magazine Subscriptions
- Event Tickets

-
Step 1
Ask your mom what she wants. Getting some ideas will save you guesswork and a lot of shopping.
-
Step 2
Treat her to a pampering day at a spa, or a makeover.
-
Step 3
Give her a prepaid phone card so she can call you or the grandkids without running up her phone bill.
-
Step 4
Subscribe to a magazine in her name or give her a gift certificate to a bookstore.
-
Step 5
Stuff a gift basket with all kinds of goodies she will enjoy.
-
Step 6
Give her a time-saving appliance that she doesn't have.
-
Step 7
Pay for a series of cooking, computer, dance or exercise classes. But make sure you pick a class that you know she really wants to take - you don't want to offend her by implying she needs it.

Give her a year's membership to a museum, historical society or other local attraction she visits often.
-
Step 9
Replace a piece of fine china that's been broken.
-
Step 10

Step 11
Have a "mother's ring" made with the birthstones of all the kids.

on 3/14/2009 Sponsor a celebration jar for her. Makes a great gift, especially if it is a milestone birthday. 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th etc...visit www.celebrationjar.com and they can prepare one for you.

on 3/20/2008 It's the little things that matter most - reminding them year-round of your love is the best gift of all. It can be a simple post-it note or an unexpected gift. There are sites like www.remindyourlove.com and www.redenvelope.com that make this pretty easy...and they carry some of the items mentioned above...good luck. ...

on 11/22/2005 Buy a kit that includes the paper and crayons, and have everyone draw a picture that can be transferred to material and have a quilt made out of it. We did this for my grandmother and she loved it. Even the little grandkids got in on the act.

on 11/22/2005 Go through old pictures of the family. Scan them and make up a beautiful collage of her children, husband and events over the years for her to cherish. You will be amazed at the way her memory comes back to the "good years."

on 11/22/2005 Everyone loves cake! So why not find a picture (the older the picture, the better) of your mom with all the kids and put it on a cake? I did this for my grandmother and she just fell in love with it.
