How to Clear a Browser's Cache on a PC

A full cache can slow down your browser. Be sure to empty it regularly.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Internet Explorer
  • Netscape Navigator
  • Netscape Navigator
  • Internet Explorer

    Internet Explorer Version 5

  1. Step 1

    Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.

  2. Step 2

    Click on the General tab.

  3. Step 3

    Click on Delete Files.

  4. Step 4

    Click on OK.

  5. Netscape Navigator Version 4.61

  6. Step 1

    Select Preferences from the Edit menu.

  7. Step 2

    Click on the plus sign next to the Advanced heading to reveal subcategories.

  8. Step 3

    Click on Cache.

  9. Step 4

    Click on Clear Memory Cache.

  10. Step 5

    Click on OK.

  11. Step 6

    Click on Clear Disk Cache.

  12. Step 7

    Click on OK.
