Most online city guides have a mapping service.

From Quick Guide: Pack a Map
Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to a map-specific search engine, such as Mapquest. Refer to links listed under related sites. For topographic maps visit Trails.com or nationalmap.gov.

  2. Step 2

Type the name of the city you want to map into the search field and hit enter.

  3. Step 3

Print your map for future use.

Tips & Warnings
  • Another option is to find an atlas at an online bookstore.
  • If the map that you find is not specific enough, go to a general search engine and retype name of town or city. When search results come up, select the city or chamber of commerce site, if possible, for the area you want to map. The city or chamber of commerce official site may have a local map, and will almost certainly have a telephone contact if no online map is available.
