Tips & Warnings

  • For Halloween, add witches, ghosts and spiders. Decorate a Thanksgiving tree with straw, turkeys, corn, squash, apples, leaves or gourds.

  • Trim your Christmas tree with pine or cedar, holly, Christmas decorations or angels.

  • Make a tree for the birds by using pine or cedar, popcorn on a string, suet balls, and orange cups filled with birdseed.

  • If you decide to use lights on your tree, keep the greenery fresh and use only lights labeled for outdoor use.
