Instructions

    • 1

Try wearing a longer top to help visually shorten your legs.

    • 2

Wear pants with cuffs to ground and truncate your legs.

    • 3

Choose horizontal stripes over vertical ones; avoid pinstripes, for example, which will elongate your figure.

    • 4

Mix light and dark shades. Pairing a dark shirt with light pants, or vice versa, will shorten your body.

    • 5

Put on flat, rather than heeled, shoes.

Tips & Warnings

  • Pick clothes that have larger details ' wide lapels, buttons and other features. Delicate details such as small collars will make the body look large by contrast.

  • Avoid dressing all in one color, which enhances height.

Why would I want to look small? "Bigger is better". and I love the way people say "Wow! You look so tall, you could be a model someday". I'd rather look down on people than look up.

And I've never tried to make myself look shorter. I don't see the point in that.

I'm 6'6" 240 and my biggest problem is finding clothes that fit and are somewhat stylish. I'm athleticly built, but most of the stuff I find is for obese tall people, and most of the designers that make "in style" clothes, don't make them in extra-tall sizes.
