Instructions
  1. Step 1

Develop a sense of self-confidence by knowing your strengths and understanding and accepting your weaknesses. With a strong sense of self, the way others perceive, talk about or treat you won't affect you. You'll be able to maintain a sunny disposition regardless of the atmosphere and the people you're around.

  2. Step 2

Learn to appreciate imperfection. If a goal or project doesn't turn out exactly as you'd envisioned, by happy with what you did achieve and use anything that went wrong as a learning tool to help you improve the next time rather than dwelling negatively on the setbacks.

  3. Step 3

React to everyone cheerfully, even the people that you don't get along with or that have wronged you in the past. By having an upbeat outlook, a sunny sense of humor and offering support whenever someone needs it, you may even improve some of your less successful relationships.

  4. Step 4

Look forward to spending time with your friends and actively pursue new relationships with others who have similar interests. By surrounding yourself with a great support system and participating in activities that you love, you'll be eager to greet each day.

  5. Step 5

Empower yourself by refusing to stress about events, people or outcomes that are beyond your control. You'll have more peace of mind if you learn to banish worries unless you can make a plan and actively take steps to change them.
