1
Choose a pre-designed transfer tattoo from a sheet and use scissors to cut it out. Decide where on your body you will apply the tattoo. If it's a large or long tattoo, or you select an area you can't reach, enlist the help of a friend.
-
2
Wash and dry the area you have selected for the tattoo. If there's enough hair to get in the way of the image, you may want to shave the area.
-
-
3
Remove the plastic sheet that protects the image and place the transfer sheet against the skin with the image face down.
-
4
Check that your temporary tattoo is where you want it. A strip of adhesive tape helps to keep it in place, but make sure the tape doesn't touch the design itself as the tattoo will stick to the tape
-
5
Use a wet paper towel or washcloth to completely dampen the transfer sheet. Make sure the backing sheet is saturated, which may take a minute or so. Give the design time to set before you slide or peel the backing off.
-
6
Let tattoo set for a minute before you blot off dampness.

Tips & Warnings
To take the design off in a hurry, rub oil over the tattoo to dissolve it. Or put adhesive tape over the tattoo; it will stick to the tape and peel off.
For a longer-lasting temporary design, consider a henna tattoo that lasts two weeks.
To keep your temporary tattoo looking good as long as possible, avoid putting lotions or creams directly on it.
